There is a rumor going around that only the rich are debt free. As stated it is a rumor and most rumors are not real. Anyone in the world can be debt free, not just the rich. Any one that sets their mind to it debt reduction can be done with a goal in mind, common sense and a lot of hard work. It will not be easy for sure, but with fortitude and a good solid budget it can be accomplished.
Today’s world has caused more and more people to get into debt; they must live on credit cards and live from paycheck to paycheck. Some have not worked in over a year and it just not so easy finding work. Many will work three maybe even four jobs just to make ends meet. But those who have jobs still have debt and just can not figure out why. Debt reduction of course is the answer, but one wonders how to go about it.
There are so many different companies that promise to help with your debt reduction for a high fee. Logically this does not work. If one has to pay a huge fee once a month, this just adds to their debts. Many think there is a quick fix for debt reduction; they will go with a company that promises them that their debt will be eliminated in a short period. Be caution and shouldn’t believe in something that is too good to be true.
One must take responsibility to get that debt reduction down and stop spending more than they bring home. This is not a good way for a life of somewhat carefree living. So many people have health problems because of all the stress they have. Leading to heart attacks and even death, one must do something quickly to stop this.
If going the route of using a debt reduction program be wary of the ones that tout they will solve all of your debt problems. Do your homework and check them out. Some are good and you can find them online, others do not even bother with. A debt reduction program is very similar to a debt negotiation program. First and foremost before going to one of these companies is to figure out your situation. They will figure out for your financial problem and then will state how much you should pay to lower your debt.
A debt reduction program will then ask you to stop make payments to your creditors. They will then create a ‘trust’ account for you and you can save a certain amount of money in it each month and this goes to the debt payment. They will also take care of the creditors that call you. Or, you can do the debt reduction on your own, saving even more money because you will not be paying the program fees.
Start with a solid budget, add up all the income you have per month. Then add up all of your debts, everything, from car loans to your mortgage and or rent. Once you know how much money you have to pay the debts, some will start with paying off the smallest amounts. Working your way up to the largest debts this type of debt reduction will see a great improvement. Stick with it and you will succeed.
